I am a playwright, lyricist, and librettist.  

 

I love language and languages, 

words and communicating, 

and above all, connection:

Our attempts to connect, our failures to connect, our drive and desire and need to connect with other sentient beings.   

 

My works are peopled with the idiosyncratic (e.g. drowned siblings, lonely dental patients, humans transitioning to robot) and

some of the themes I explore are desire, power dynamics, ethics, longing, and, of course, connection.

My writing is unsentimental, economical, and inclined to be darkly funny.
